Duga Resa
Duga Resa is a nice and quiet town in central Croatia, and is 11 km away from Karlovac. This area was inhabited in ancient times, as is visible by the archaeological site of Sveti Petar Mrežnički near the town. This exceptionally attractive area and its surroundings extends all the way to the beautiful forested areas of the river Mrežnica, one of the cleanest and most beautiful underground rivers. The meadows, plains, mountains and rivers provide excellent opportunities for recreation: fishing, canoeing, swimming, rafting, hiking, biking... The gastronomic offer is exceptionally rich with an offer of local wines. Only a few kilometres from Duga Resa there is the modern campsite Slapić, a beautiful swimming area on the river Mrežnica with natural coves, waterfalls and islands.
