This Slavonian town is famous for its cultural and historical monuments, and its remains from the medieval era. The classical castle of the Pejačević family is one of the most beautiful buildings in this region. In the spacious park at Pejačević, there is a smaller, ground-level hunting lodge. In the town there is a neo-Gothic chapel that has the Pejačević family crypt and the tomb of the composer Dora Pejačević. Here there is also a Gothic - Baroque Franciscan monastery and the parish church of sv. Antun Padovanski [St. Anthony of Padua] here, which was transformed into a baroque style in the 18th century. It has a richly decorated oratory with the Pejačević coat of arms and bars without precedent in the whole of Croatia.
